In last couple of days, news media kept
reporting that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin linked Barack Obama with a
domestic terrorist group from the 1970s.
Obama dismissed the attacks, saying his
rival John McCain is trying to distract voters from the real issues
that Americans is facing like the financial crisis.
"Senator McCain and his operatives
are gambling that they can distract you with smears rather than talk
to you about substance," Obama was quoted as saying today in
Asheville, North Carolina. "That's what you do when you're out
of touch, out of ideas, and running out of time."
Yahoo's Election 08 Political Dashboard
predicts that if the election was held today, Obama would beat McCain
330 to 178.
A report just released by the
Associated Press said that Palin's attacks may backfire on McCain.
