On The Border®Committed to their Customers: All Chips now with 0g Trans-Fat!
Dallas, Texas, 9/15/08 - Truco Enterprises is proud to announce that all On The Border® Chips are now 0g Trans-Fat per serving with the same great taste and quality that has made them so popular with the American consumer. All authorized store shelves will have them by 10/01/08.
The move by Truco furthers a wide industry response to highly publicized medical research linking trans-fat to coronary heart disease. Trans-fat reduces the levels of "good cholesterol" and increases the levels of "bad cholesterol". The On the Border name has been synonymous for high quality premium Mexican foods and this step follows these high standards with one goal in mind: exceeding our customers’ expectations.
To support this initiative and help communicate this transition to the customer, Truco has redesigned all tortilla chip bags. The new bags will feature key information points on the front and back of the bag to allow the shopper to easily identify the health benefits, as well as highlight the NEW OTB frozen appetizer line.
